Limetree Network

The Limetree NETWORK is a high-grade network player which can play back music from streaming services and local storage media in studio master quality. It is connected to the network with a LAN cable or via WLAN. It offers an additional USB port for docking harddisk drives or USB storage media. Beside an analog line level output, the network player also features a high-quality headphone output.

The LINDEMANN streaming platform offers a studio master grade reproduction. Either through a LAN connection or wireless via WLAN. Due to WPS, integrating the device into your existing system is just a breeze. Moreover, the ARM core high-performance processor and the web update feature make the platform absolutely future-proof.

Technically speaking, the Limetree NETWORK is way ahead: all digital signals can be converted into DSD 256, a data format which is highly esteemed by audiophiles worldwide. This radical new approach also lets "normal" recordings in CD quality shine with an exceptionally good sound.

The Limetree NETWORK is equipped with a high-quality headphone amplifier, but may also be connected directly to an amplifier or active loudspeakers via the line output on the rear side.

The LINDEMANN app is available for Android and iOS, both for smartphones and tablets. The album-oriented programming convinces by fluent browsing and an easy, intuitive operation. Our definitive highlight.

Via USB the Limetree NETWORK supports the connection of external CD drives and thus turns easily into a top-class CD player at little cost! And this, of course, plug-and-play; the drive is automatically recognized and integrated via the LINDEMANN app. Including control and CD text support.
 

The Limetree NETWORK offers a Bluetooth function which enables a wireless music playback e.g. from smartphones or tablets. At the same time the A2DP Bluetooth audio transmission protocol ensures the very best sound quality.

A special highlight is our multi-room function which allows to run several streamers in different rooms separately or coupled. These are conveniently controlled via the LINDEMANN app.

The LINDEMANN app

The Limetree NETWORK is controlled almost exclusively via the newly designed LINDEMANN app which is available both for Android and iOS. Apart from the smartphone version, there is also a proprietary tablet version in the landscape mode. The app allows a fluent, intuitive browsing and searching. A new feature is the simultaneous display of browse view and play view. In addition you can also call up your current play queue. The album-oriented programming allows the playback of a complete album with just one push of a button!

In addition, the specially integrated multi-room function also allows to run several streamers in different rooms separately or coupled. The range of streaming services is diversified, with a clear focus on studio master quality and hi-fi subscriptions. Customers may choose between TIDAL, Qobuz, Deezer, HighResAudio and Spotify. Through our partner airable they will also get access to thousands of podcasts and radio stations worldwide.

Limetree Bridge

The Limetree BRIDGE is a high-quality network adapter designed to transfer music from streaming services and local storage media digitally in studio master quality to existing D/A converters or other devices with digital inputs. This makes it possible to upgrade an existing hi-fi system with streaming for little money. Here we would like to address owners of older LINDEMANN devices such as the 820S or the 825, but of course all other customers with a converter or a CD player with a digital input as well.

For this purpose the Limetree BRIDGE is simply connected with the network by means of a LAN cable or via WLAN. It has also a USB port for connecting harddisks or USB storage media. There is an optical and a coaxial digital output. A professional studio engineering sample rate converter makes sure that all streamed formats can be played back on an existing converter without major losses in sound quality.

The digital outputs of the BRIDGE can be perfectly adapted to the input specifications of the respective converter. Using the latest technologies and parts we reanimated a circuit design from the tube amp era. The result is absolutely worth listening to!

TThe Limetree PHONO has two discrete input stages which are perfectly tuned for the respective pickupt type. This ensures maximum sound quality with MM and MC cartridges.

Installation is as easy as 1-2-3: simply plug in and you’re ready to go. Only for MC there is a variable setting of the input impedance between 100 and 800 ohms.

The measured values of the PHONO are exceptionally good all the way. Noise and distortion figures are close to the resolution limit.

Technology

The Limetree PHONO falls back on a circuit design from the classic tube amp era. But this concept is a completely new reinterpretation using the latest technologies and components.

The dual-stage circuitry with a passive RIAA equalization network uses the best J-FET amplifiers, which are currently available, and ultra precision resistors and capacitors from Japan. To amplify the MC signals we use a professional studio amplifier, which is normally used as a microphone preamp for recordings.

The purely passive equalization has a significant advantage: the distortions in the bass range are much lower than with the usually applied circuits.

As power supply we use a “medical grade“ wall plug transformer which ensures a particularly good isolation from line disturbances. Together with the elaborated onboard filtering and special voltage regulators, we were able to realize an exceptionally low-noise power supply with a ripple voltage below 10 µV.

Limetree Headphone

The Limetree HEADPHONE is a high-class headphone amplifier for all music lovers who want to get a higher resolution and more tonal colors from their headphones.

It amplifies purely in the analog domain for superior quality with the smallest of signals and/or when listening at soft volume. High-current output stages in class-A technology guarantee a reproduction which is both punchy and precisely resolved. For true connoisseurs!

Beside three inputs to connect e.g. network players, CD players or a phono preamp, the Limetree HEADPHONE offers a headphone output and a line output to control active speakers or a power amplifier.

Almost any headphones of 16 to 300 ohms can be driven with great sounding results. A setting device on the bottom of the housing allows to adjust the volume level to the respective headphone impedance.

Technology

We have put a good deal of detail work into the circuit design. Very short signal paths, finest components and an extremely clean supply voltage make this amplifier what it really is: an essential tool for headphone freaks.

The analog volume control comes from the studio sector and is currently representing the measure of all things. It ensures a very high resolution and minimal losses with low-level signals.

The current amplification is provided by completely discrete "diamond" buffers working in a non-feedback class-A mode. In terms of sound these are wonderfully agile and detailed and deliver very good dynamics values.
